Ingredients:
12 Macintosh Apples
Cinnamon (Optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Core the macintosh apples then cut them into fourths. Place the apples in a large pot with boiling water and boil them until soft. You can drain or just remove them into a colander. Once they are drained place a large bowl under the colander and begin mashing through the apples. The apple sauce will fall into the bowl. Remove the skins as needed from the colander and continue straining. They will be pink because we left the skins on.
Note: You can also skin (peel) the apples before boiling. You can also add cinnamon later.

Personal Notes:
My mom just decided to whip us up some apple sauce and tried it with the skins on and it came out pink! This is so cool! When I eat the applesauce I feel like I am eating a warm and soft apple!
