1 c. sugar
3 T. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3 egg yolks
1 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. butter (melted)
3 egg whites (stiffly beaten)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, flour, and salt, blending thoroughly. Beat egg yolks slightly and add buttermilk, vanilla, and butter. Add egg mixture gradually to dry ingredients and blend thoroughly. Gently but thoroughly fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake in 375ºF oven for 45 minutes.
