Cake:

18 oz package chocolate fudge cake mix
21 oz can cherry pie filling
1 tsp almond extract
2 eggs, beaten

Frosting:

1 c sugar
5 T margarine
1/3 c milk
6 oz package semisweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Cake: Heat oven to 350º. Using solid shortening, grease 9x13" pan. In bowl, combine ingredients by hand; stir until well-blended. Pour in pan; bake 25-30 minutes, or until cake tests done. When cake comes out of oven, begin making the frosting.

Frosting: In small saucepan, combine sugar, margarine and milk. Boil, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in chocolate chips until smooth. Immediately pour over partially cooled cake.
