Evelyn Gleason's Rhubarb Cake Recipe

1/2 c shortening
1 1/2 c brown sugar
1 egg
1 c sour milk
1 t vanilla

2 c cut-up fresh rhubarb
2 c flour
1/2 t salt
1 t soda

TOPPING- mix together
1/4 C brown sugar
1 t cinnamon

Mix together first five ingredients in a large mixing bowl. In a separate bowl mix remaining ingredients.
Then add to first mixture. Spread in 9 x 13 pan or two 8 x 8 pans that have been greased and floured.
Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon on top and Bake 350 fro 45 min.
