1 C. brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
1/2 C. milk
3/4 C. vegetable oil
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 C. all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/2 C. semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 C. raisins

Directions:

In mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, eggs, milk, oil and vanilla. Mix well. Combine flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg with wire whisk. Stir into batter. Stir in oats, chocolate chips and raisins. Let stand 5 - 10 mins. Drop by teaspoons onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 350 for 10 - 12 mins. or until lightly brown. Remove immediately to wire racks. Yield 3-1/2 doz.

Mom marked this recipe "Very good flavor." It was torn out of a cookbook which notes that this recipe was originally printed on an Oatmeal cereal box in the early 1930s.
