8 - 10 slices cinnamon raisin bread, crust removed
3 eggs
1 15 oz. can 100% pure pumpkin puree
2 C. milk
3/4 C. granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 C. raisins
Whipped Cream

Place bread on cookie sheet. Bake in preheated 350 oven 5 minutes. Turn, bake an additional 3 - 5 minutes or until dry. Remove from oven, cool. Cut into 1" cubes (should measure about 4 cups); set aside. In a large mixing bowl, beat eggs, add pumpkin, milk, sugar, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice and salt; mix well. Stir in bread cubes. Allow to set 5 minutes. Stir in raisins. Pour into buttered 1-1/2 qt. baking dish. Dot top with butter. Bake in preheated 350 oven for 1 hour, 20 mins. to 1 hr., 30 mins. or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Serve warm with whipped cream, if desired.
