Pumpkin Layer
1 Cup 100% pure pumpkin puree
1/2 C. granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1 9" unbaked deep dish pie shell

Directions:
Directions:
For pumpkin layer, combine pumpkin, sugar, egg and pumpkin pie spice in a medium bowl; stir well. Spread over the bottom of lightly buttered pie shell.

Pecan Layer
1/2 C. light corn syrup
1/2 C. granulated sugar
2 large eggs
3 T. butter or margarine, melted
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 C. pecan halves
Combine corn syrup, sugar, eggs, butter and vanilla in same bowl, stir in nuts. Spoon over pumpkin layer. Bake in preheated 350 oven 50 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack.
