1 lb de pan (frances o de slices)
1 lata de leche evaporada o leche fresca
1 lata de leche condensada
2 huevos batidos
1/2 taza de mantequilla derretida
1/2 cucharadita de vainilla
Pasas y canela a gusto
Caramelo:
3 cucharadas de azucar
1/2 taza de agua

Desmenuzar el pan y remojarlo con un poco de leche, triturando bien el pan (lo puede batir levemente en la batidora electrica). Mezcle el huevo, la mantequilla, la leche condensada, la vainilla y las pasas con el resto de la leche y añada al pan remojado. Prepare el caramelo en un molde grande (de por lo menos 11 pulgadas) calentando el azucar con el agua hasta que se dore. Asegurese de mover el molde para que no se queme el azucar. Vierta la mezcla en el molde y hornee destapado a 400º por 50 mins. Pruebe con un cuchillo en el centro por si necesita mas tiempo en el horno (si el cuchillo sale limpio esta listo, si sale con mezcla dejelo hornear un poco mas).
