3 cups all purpose flour
2 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 cup salad oil
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons vanilla extract
4 eggs

4 larges sliced, peeled apples, (4 cups)
3/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
-- TOPPING
3/4 cup flour
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup soft margarine

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Grease bottom of 9 x 13 pan.
In a large bowl combine fist 9 ingredients. Beat 4 minutes at medium speed. Pour 1/2 of the batter into pan. Layer apples over batter. Combined the next sugar and cinammon and sprinkle over the apples. Top with the remaining batter. Blend topping ingredients together and sprinkle on top of batter.
Bake for 55 to 70 minutes - until toothpick comes out clean.
(if using two 8x8 pans bake for 45 to 50 minutes).
