1 stick butter
1/2 cup vegetable shortening
4 tablespoons baking cocoa
1 cup water

2 cups all purpose flour
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
--- ICING
1 stick butter
4 tablespoons baking cocoa
6 tablespoons milk
1-pound box powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
In a pot, melt butter, shortening, cocoa and water. In a separate large bowl mix flour and sugar. Pour cocoa mixture over the flour mixture; mix well and then add eggs, buttermilk, vanilla and soda.

Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes.
Apply icing to cake while still hot.
Icing: in a pot combine butter, cocoa, milk bring to a boil and then add powdered sugar, vanilla and nuts. Mix then ice cake while still hot.
