Boil together:

1 cup brown or white syrup
2 cups brown sugar
1 tablespoon butter
2 tablespoons vinegar

Directions:

until the mixture forms a soft ball when dropped in cold water. Add 1/2
teaspoon soda. Stir well and pour over a pan of popped corn. Stir until
blended. Salted peanuts may be added to the syrup, if you desire. Use about 1
and 1/2 gallon of popped corn.
