1 pound fresh ground pork (or turkey or beef)
1 onion finely chopped
1 bell pepper finely chopped
garlic (to taste)
2 large cans New Orleans Style Blue Runner Red Beans
1T Butter

Directions:
Directions:
In cast iron pot, brown meat, onion, bell pepper and garlic until fully cooked. Combine with the beans and finally the butter. Mom served this over rice, but can remember this mixture going over sliced bread for an awesome taste sensation.

Mom would cook our favs on our birthdays and often this was my choice! As a Girl Scout, many times we made this over a campfire! Great for tailgating! With somemores for dessert!
