Ingredients:
3 cans Pillsbury Grands Flaky Layers Original Biscuits (cold)
1 c. all purpose flour
3 c. vegetable oil for frying
Confectioner's sugar (powdered sugar)

Directions:
Directions:
Roll biscuits out to 1/8" thickness, rolling from the center outward in all directions. Cut each dough disk across at the center and again across at a 90 degree angle to form four similar “pie slice” pieces, keeping the pieces two inches wide. Place cold beignet into hot vegetable oil (350ºF) and fry until golden brown around edges. When bottoms are golden brown flip over and brown the other side. Promptly remove and place on platter covered with layers of paper towels to catch drippings. Sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired.

Personal Notes:
This recipe is an old South Louisiana favorite, short tracked by using prepared biscuits as the dough. They are ideal for tailgate-style cooking done in a cast iron skillet over a stove burner.
