Chicken pieces, 2 or 3 per person
1/2 lb sausage links or German sausage cut in 2" pieces
2 tsp salad oil
1/2 c. celery
1/2 c. green pepper

Barbecue Sauce
1 c. water
1 c. BBQ sauce or ketchup
2 tbsp vinegar
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp dry mustard
salt and pepper

Chicken:
Brown chicken pieces in oil in pan. Take out and drain. Fry celery and green pepper for 1 minute. Put chicken in a large baking pan. Place sausage between and on top of chicken. Pour celery and green pepper over and pour barbecue sauce on top of all. Bake at 350º for an hour or until chicken is tender. Water may be added if sauce thickens too fast.
Barbecue Sauce:
Mix all ingredients together and bring to a boil.
