3 c mashed yams
1 c sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs, beaten
2 tbsp melted butter
1/2 c milk
1/2 tsp vanilla

Topping:
1 c brown sugar
1/3 c flour
1 c chopped pecans
1 c coconut (optional)
1/3 c melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Mix together yams, sugar, salt, eggs, butter, milk and vanilla. Place in a baking dish. Mix topping ingredients together with your hands and sprinkle over top of potatoes. Bake for approximately 35 minutes.

Editor's Note: Sandra and Sandy make the same thing, except that Sandy adds 1 cup of coconut to the topping. This is great either way!
