Ingredients: 1 lb of sushi quality ahi tuna (Costco on Thursdays) 1/4 c. sliced green onion (scallions) 1/2 c. chopped fresh cilantro 2 T. chopped fresh basil 1 tsp. red pepper flakes 3 tsp. soy sauce 2 tsp. sesame oil 3 T olive oil 1-2 tsp. Thai hot sauce (found in oriental market on Boy Scout...when I don't have it I substitute Tabasco or any other hot red sauce). Kosher salt to taste.

Directions:Chop fresh tuna into raisin size pieces and set in a glass or metal mixing bowl.
Add remaining ingredients. Mix well. Refrigerate covered with plastic.
Serve as an appetizer with water crackers or endive leaves or with greens as a first course salad. |
