1 ½ cups sugar
5 cups flour
1 cup milk
2 tspns. baking powder

½ cup bread crumbs, fine

Directions:
To make the filling, put all the ingredients in a saucepan and cook over low heat for about 10 minutes. Stir constantly. Cool.

To make the dough, mix all ingredients and work them by hand into a smooth noodle dough. On a floured surface, roll out the dough thinly, about as thick as the back of a knife. Cut out circles about 3 inches in diameter. Place a tablespoon of filling on each circle of the dough, fold over and pinch together the edges of the dough with a fork. Prick each cookie with the fork.

Transfer cookies to a greased baking sheet and bake in a preheated 425 degree oven for about 8 minutes, until light brown. Dust with powdered sugar.
