2 cups sugar
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 cup light cream
1 1/2 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. vanilla
2 cups pecan halves

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar and baking soda in a 3 1/2 quart saucepan; mix well. Stir in cream and cook slowly to the soft ball stage; stir often. Remove from heat; drop in butter and let sit for a few minutes. Add vanilla and stir until mixture begins to lose its gloss. Add pecans and stir. Drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper.
