1 lb. raisins
1/2 C. shortening
4 C. flour
1-1/2 C. granulated sugar
1 T. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. nutmeg

Directions:
Simmer raisins in 2 cups water for 15 mins. When raisins start to boil, add another cup water. Stir in rest of the ingredients, place in 9x12 lightly greased and floured pan and bake at 350 for 45 mins. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
