3-1/2# chicken or 6 chicken breast pieces
1 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. celery salt
1 tsp. curry powder
1 tsp. oregano
1-1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 cup sliced almonds
1-1/2 cups cream or evaporated milk
1/2 cup sour cream
3 T. browned buttered bread crumbs

Directions:
Directions:
Cut chicken into serving pieces. Combine all seasonings and stir into melted butter. Place chicken in a casserole dish and coat each piece well with the butter mixture. Add almonds. Pour cream or evaporated milk around the chicken. Bake covered at 350º for 45 minutes. Uncover; mix a litte of the sauce with the sour cream and pour over and around the chicken. Sprinkle crumbs over the top and bake, uncovered, for 15 to 20 minutes more.

This recipe came from the Tokyo Union Church Cookbook. Our minister served this to us for dinner in 1983, and it's been a favorite of ours ever since.
