Cake:

2 c flour
2 c sugar
1 tsp soda
Pinch cinnamon
1 stick oleo or butter
1/2 c shortening
4 tablespoons cocoa
1 c water
1/2 c buttermilk
2 eggs
1 Tbs vanilla

Icing:

1 stick oleo
4 Tbs cocoa
6 Tbs milk
1 box powdered sugar
1 Tbs vanilla
1 c chopped pecans (or less)

Directions:
Directions:
Cake: Sift dry ingredients together. In saucepan combine and bring to a boil, oleo, shortening, cocoa, and water. Pour over sifted dry ingredients. Add buttermilk, eggs and vanilla. Beat well and pour into a buttered 9 x 12" pan. Bake at 400º for 25 to 30 minutes.

Icing: Melt oleo, cocoa and milk in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Add sugar, vanilla and pecans and beat well while still on the stove. Remove from heat. Beat a little more and spread on cake while still hot.
