Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 cup dry pinto beans
1 cup dry mixed beans
1 cup hard red wheat berries
1 cup dry posole
¼ cup oil
¼ cup hot Chile powder
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp salt
12 cups of water

Directions:
Directions:
Put all ingredients in Crock-Pot and cook overnight on “High”.

Mash cooked ingredients lightly with hand-held potato masher until the mix thickens a little. If it seems too thick, add some water.

Eat topped with cheese, green Chile or crushed tortilla chips.

To save, pour Chile into a plastic bowl, top as desired, and freeze. When frozen, the Chile can be popped out of the bowl, wrapped in paper or plastic, and stored long-term without using the bowl. Re-heat in microwave.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This is an inexpensive robust vegetarian Chile with good texture which is not sensitive to cooking time. It can also be frozen and re-heated.
