1 egg
1 c buttermilk
pinch of soda
1 t sugar
2 T flour
2/3-1c Martha White Cornmeal mix
2 T-heaping-bacon grease

Directions:
Directions:
Heat bacon grease in small (6") iron skillet in oven while preheating to 500º. Mix dry ingredients first, then add egg(beaten) and milk. Batter should be thin. Remove skillet from oven and pour hot grease into batter. Stir well. Pour batter into hot skillet.
Bake at 500º until browned. Remove from oven, flip bread over and return to oven to brown other side, slightly.
