2 c sifted self-rising flour
1/4 t baking soda
4 T shortening
3/4 to 1 c buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, add soda and sift again. Cut in shortening. Add milk enough to make a soft dough. Knead until ingredients are well blended. Roll on floured board, cut out and bake in greased pan. 450º about 20 minutes or until browned.
