Ingredients: 1 lb beef sirloin 1 T flour 1/2 t salt 2 T butter 1 C sliced mushrooms 1/2 C chopped onion 1 clove garlic
2 T butter 3 T flour 1 T tomato paste 1 1/4 C beef broth
1 C sour cream 2 T dry white wine Hot buttered noodles

Directions: |
Directions:Cut the beef into 1/4 inch strips. Combine floour and salt and coat the meat with the flour mixture. Heat the skillet and add 2 T butter to melt. Add the meat and brown quickly on both sides. Add the mushrooms, onion and minced garlic. Cook until the onion is crisp tender. Remove from the pan to a holding bowl.
Add 2 T butter to the pan drippings. Blend in flour. Add tomato paste and stir in the beef broth. Cook and stir over medium high heat until thickened and bubbling.
Return the meat mixture to the skillet. Stir in sour cream and wine. Cook slowly until heated through. Do not boil. Serve over hot buttered noodles. |
