4 quarts red, green, yellow, Hungarian, banana or any other variety.
1 1/2 c salt
1/4 c sugar
2 cloves garlic
4 quarts water
2 c water
2 tbsp horseradish
10 c vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
Cut two slits in each pepper and dissolve salt in 4 qt of water. Pour over peppers and let stand 12-18 hours in a cool spot.
Drain and rinse and drain throughly.
Combine remaining ingredients. Simmer 15 minutes. Remove garlic. Pack peppers into hot jars, leaving 1/4 inch head space.
Heat packing liquid to boiling and pour over peppers. Adjust caps. Process 10 minutes in boiling water bath.
