1 1/2 lbs. round steak, 1/3 c.soy sauce, 4 tsp. cornstarch, 1/4 c. salad oil, 2 medium green peppers-chopped, 2 small tomatoes-cut in wedges, 1 tsp. sugar, 3/4 tsp. ginger, 2 small onions-quartered, 1 tsp. salt, dash of garlic, 3 tbsp. salad oil.

Cook enough rice for 6 people and keep warm: Slice round steak across grain, into strips. Marinate meat 30 min. in a mixture of soy sauce, sugar, salad oil, cornstarch, ginger, & a dash of garlic. In a large skellet, heat salad oil over medium heat, add onions, green peppers,& salt. Saute, stirring quickly and frequently until vegetables are tender crisp. Remove to another bowland set aside. In same skillet, over high heat, add salad oil & meat mixture-brown-stir in vegetables & tomatoes, add enough water to make sauce and enough additional cornstarch to thicken sauce. Cook until tomatoes are heated through, serve over warm rice.
