MEATLOAF:
1 can (4 oz) mushrooms (pieces and stems), drained and finely chopped
1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup fresh parsley, snipped
1 cup fresh rye or white bread crumbs (about 2 slices of bread)
2/3 cup milk
1 egg
1 1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
1/4 tsp ground allspice or nutmet
1 pound lean (90%) ground beef
1 pound lean ground pork

NOODLES AND CREAMY GRAVY

1 pkg (12 oz) uncooked egg noodles
1 jar (12 oz) mushroom or beef gravy
2 Tbs. milk
1/4 cup sour cream

Directions:
Directions:
1) Preheat oven to 350 for meat loaf
2) Mix all ingredients but the meat in a bowl.
3) Crumble the meat into the bowl of ingredients, mix lightly but thoroughly.
4) Shape meat mixture into loaf into a baking pan
5) Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes--or until meat is no longer pink in center. Meat temperature reaches 160 degrees.
6) Take from oven and remove the meat and place on serving plate.
7) Meanwhile, cook noodles according to package directions; drain noodles. Heat the gravy with milk and heat in saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
8) Then whisk in sour cream and remove from heat.
9) Cut meat loaf crosswise in half. Cut one half into 8 slices and serve with noodles and creamy gravy.
10) Tightly wrap remaining meatloaf and store in refrigerator for up to 4 days--use in sandwiches or leftover meal.
