3 cups cooked Wild Rice
1 stick butter
1 large onion, diced
1 cup flour
1 cup carrot, finely diced
8 cups chicken broth
1 cup celery, finely diced
salt and pepper to taste
1 cup ham, finely diced
1 cup half-and-half
1 cup chicken, cooked and diced

Directions:
Directions:
Sauté the vegetables in butter until veggies have softened slightly. Sift in flour a little at a time, stirring and cooking until the flour is blended in well, but do not let brown.
Slowly add the chicken broth, stirring until all the flour-butter mixture is blended well. Add the ham, chicken, and rice. Adjust the seasonings. Heat thoroughly. Add half-and-half and reheat gently, but do not boil.
