2 c sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c cocoa
2 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
1 c buttermilk
2 1/2 c flour
2 tsp vanilla
1 c lard

Mix all of the above together. Last add 1 cup boiling water. Bake at 350º until done.
