Ingredients for brisket:
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/1/2 tsp. pepper
2 tbls. chili powder
1 tsp. crushed bay leaves
2 tbls. Liquid Smoke
1 (4 lb.) beef brisket

Barbecue Sauce:
3 tbls. brown sugar
1 (14 oz.) bottle catsup
1/2 c. water
2 tbls. Liquid Smoke
salt and pepper to taste
4 tlbs. Worcestershire Sauce
3 tsp. dry mustard
2 tsp. celery seed
6 tbls. butter
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Combine salt, pepper, chilie powder and bay leaves. Rub meat completely with Liquid Smoke. Place meat, fat side up, in large roasting pan. Sprinke dry seasoning mixture on top. Cover TIGHTLY. Bake for 3 hours at 325 degrees.
Scrape seasoning off meat and cut in very thin slices across the grain. Serve with barbecue sauce.
Combine all the BARBECUE INGREDIENTS and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Cook for 10 minutes. Servie with sliced brisket.
