2-1/4 C. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 C. butter
1 C. brown sugar, firmly packed
1 sp. almond exrtract
1-1/2 T. instant coffee
6 oz. semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 C. chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt and set aside. Cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy; add instant coffee and almond extract. Gradually blend in dry ingredients. Stir in chocolate chips and chopped nuts. Grease cookie sheet pan 15x10x1 and press dough into pan. Bake at 350 for 20 to 25 minutes. Cut bars while still warm.
