1/3 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2 cups milk
2 tbsp. butter
3 slightly beaten egg yolks
1/2 tsp. real vanilla
2 heaping tbsp. peanut butter (creamy)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, sugar & salt, bring milk to scalding and add to dry
ingredients gradually, stirring constantly. Cook over hot water,
stirring often, until thick, about 15 minutes. Add butter & egg
yolks, cook 2 minutes longer. add vanilla & peanut butter. Stir &
cool then pour into cooked pastry shell & cover with meringue &
brown to a golden brown.

Personal Notes:
Add a little of the hot pie filling to the egg yolks to temper them
before adding them to the rest of the filling. This will prevent the
eggs from curdling.
