For 10 buns:
1 cup + 3 tablespoons warm water
1/3 cup oil
1/4 cup sugar or 3 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons yeast

1 tsp salt
1 egg beaten
3 1/3 cup whole wheat flour
Directions:
Directions:
Mix water, yeast, sugar and oil together. Let rest 15 minutes. Add salt, egg and flour. Roll out and cut into desired shape for hamburger buns. Place on jelly roll pan to rise. When you leave an indentation with your thumb when you press down on dough, it is ready to bake. 400º 10 - 15 minutes. Do not over bake.

When my daughter, Collette Richards made these for her ward Young Women's Party, her feedback was very positive and everyone said they had never heard of 'homemade hamburger buns'. They taste great with that home-grown Pace ground beef.
