3-4 large onions
1 egg yolk, slightly beaten
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 t salt
1 t melted Crisco
Crisco for frying

Directions:
Directions:
Clean onions; cut into 1/4 inch slices and separate into rings. Combine slightly-beaten egg yolk and milk. Add flour, salt, and 1 teaspoon melted Crisco; mix until smooth. Dip onion rings in batter. Fry in Crisco until lightly-browned. Drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
