1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup Karo light syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cube butter (not margarine )
1 cup cream

Directions:
Directions:
Stir all ingredients together over low heat until soft ball stage. Then add 1 more cup cream and 1 tsp Vanilla. Stir to soft ball stage again on low/medium heat. Take 1/2hour to 45 min to cook it. Don't cook too high or it will scorch.

It is fun to make this in the fall when the apples are crisp. A family favorite for everyone to sit at the table with a fondue fork and apples for dipping. Can also dip small marshmallows, bananas, etc.
