1/2 cup olive oil
1 2 ounce can anchovy fillets, undrained
4 cloves garlic, crushed
1-35 ounce can plum tomatoes, drained
1 2 1/2 ounce jar capers, drained
1 1/2 cups pitted black olives, coarsely chopped
freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
cooked pasta

Directions:
Directions:
Place the oil, anchovies, and garlic in a heavy medium-size saucepan. Mash thoroughly to a paste.
Add tomatoes, capers, and olives. Stir and heat to simmering over medium heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered for 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Season to taste with pepper.
Serve over hot pasta.
