2/3 cup sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 cup butter
2 squares chocolate
1 cup sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1/2 cup pecans
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Measure dry ingredients and sift together.
Melt butter and chocolate over hot water.
Gradually add sugar to eggs, beating thoroughly.
Blend in chocolate mixture and flour.
Add nuts and vanilla and blend.
Spread in greased 8 inch square pan.
Bake at 350ºF for about 30 minutes.
Cut into squares while still warm.
