1 cup heavy cream
1 egg
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla (or grated lemon and lemon juice in place of vanilla)
Dash salt

Directions:
Beat all together slightly. Set outside in cold weather until crystallized. Then beat in nice, fluffy, white clean snow, (new-fallen is best). Do this outside. It is then ready to serve immediately.

I remember my mother, Tiana Godwin Smith, making snow ice cream for us, but doubt that this is the recipe that she used.
