2 cups white sugar
3/4 cup Crisco
1-1/2 cups boiling water
2 cups sifted flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup cocoa
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix in large mixing bowl: sugar, Crisco & boiling water. Stir until shortenuing is dissolved. Add flour, baking soda, salt and cocoa & mix in. Then add eggs and vanilla. Pour into a greased 13" x 9" baking pan. Bake at 350º for 25 to 30 minutes until it tests done with a cake tester.
Frost as desired or:
Sprinkle on top before baking:
1 cup chocolate chips, 1/3 cup chopped nuts and 1 Tbsp. sugar.
