1 C. all purpose flour
1/2 C. butter, softened
1-1/4 C. chopped pecans, divided
1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 C. confectioners' sugar
1 8-9 oz. container Cool Whip, divided
2 3-1/2 oz. pkgs. instant chocolate pudding mix (or one chocolate and one vanilla mix)
3 C. milk
1 Hershey bar, shaved

Combine flour, butter and 1 cup chopped nuts. Press on bottom of 9x13 baking dish. Bake 375 for 20 mins. Cool. In medium bowl with electric mixer, beat together cream cheese and confectioner's sugar. Fold in half of the cool whip. Spread over cooled cake layer in dish. Refrigerate.
In large bowl with electric mixer, combine milk and pudding mix; beat 3 mins. at low speed, until thickened and glossy. Spread evenly over cream cheese layer in dish. Refrigerate until set. Spread remaining topping evenly over chocolate layer, sprinkle with remaining chopped nuts and shaved chocolate and refrigerate until serving time.

This is the original Better Than Sex Dessert, popular in the early 1990s. There's a very similar dessert made with pistachio pudding also in this cookbook.
