"The tradition of Italian cooking is that of the matriarch. This is the cooking of grandma. She didn't waste time thinking too much about the celery. She got the best celery she could and then she dealt with it."--Mario Batali

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Fat-Free Milk -approx. 2/3 of the milk called for on the box
1 box of Sugar Free Instant Vanilla Pudding (large or small)
Cool Whip, Sugar Free
Fruit of choice (I have used strawberries, bananas, blueberries, blackberries - fresh or frozen--Thaw first)
2-3 tbsp Orange Juice or Lemon Juice

Directions:
Directions:
Whisk milk with pudding mix for 1 minute. Add 1 cup cool whip and whisk together for 1 minute.
Layer with fruit of choice in a clear trifle or salad bowl.
Refrigerate till ready to serve.

The orange juice/lemon juice is used to help keep bananas from turning dark and can be mixed with the milk and pudding mix or mixed with the fruit itself. If it is put with the milk and pudding it causes a little bit of curdling, but does not affect the taste.

Personal Notes:
This is a quick, elegant dessert or fruit salad that does not taste like it is sugar free and fat free.
Of course, this can also be made with the sugar/fat versions of all the ingredients.
