macaroni
shaved cheese
salt & pepper
butter
grated Parmesan cheese
bread crumbs
milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cook macaroni in salted water until tender, taking care not to over cook. Pour off water. Place in buttered baking dish, alternating layers of macaroni and thinly shaved cheese, sprinkling the macaroni with salt, pepper and bits of butter. Cover the top layer with grated cheese and bread crumbs. Pour over this with enough milk so it can be seen through the crumbs. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes.

This recipe was taken from the "Plunkett School Cookbook during the year 1933-1934. I enjoyed this meal many times at my grandmother's house.
