1/2 yeast cake
1/4 c. water
1/2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. shortening
1 c. boiling water
3 c. flour
Directions:
Directions:
Mix all the ingredients together to form dough. Shape into small pies. Top the pies with all sorts of things, such as tomato sauce, sliced hot dogs, veggies and cheese. Bake.

Myrtle said that Holbrook would make these up on Saturday nights when they would play cards. He must have been ahead of his time because when I was growing up in Colebrook, "pizza" was unheard of!
