JUICE
1 qt. wild cranberries
1 qt. water
3 c. sugar
SAUCE
13/4 c. of cranberry pulp
to
11/4 c. sugar

Directions:

JUICE
Cook and mash cranberries till soft. Strain; add 3 cups of sugar to 4 quarts of juice. Bring to a boil. Pour into containers. Seal.
SAUCE
Combine pulp with sugar; cook until it wrinkles when cool. Skim and jar.

This sauce was a family tradition to have every Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, these berries are only found in the woods of the North Country late August and early September. We made many a family trip north to pick these berries for the holidays. It was always fun to "fill our pails" with Nana.
