2 eggs
1 C. brown sugar
1 C. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 C chopped nuts
1 (8 oz.) pkg. dates, chopped
2 T. melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg whites well, add sugar and beat until fluffy. Add 2 egg yolks. Sift dry ingredients together and then stir dates and nuts into dry ingredients. Combine with egg mixture and add melted butter and 1/2 C of boiling water. Pour into a 9x13 lightly greased baking pan and bake at 350 for 20 minutes, slice and cool and roll in powdered sugar.

Well, this recipe is quite faded, so I thought I'd include it. These are great for Christmas baking. I remember Grandma (Evalina) making these every year.
