1 2/3 C Granulated Sugar
1/2 C Water
Pinch salt
1/4 tsp. Cream of Tartar
4 Egg whites

Directions:
Directions:
Stir first 4 ingredients over medium heat, cook until temperature is 260º on candy thermometer.... or hard ball stage. Set aside.
Beat egg whites stiff then slowly pour the hot syrup into the whites and mix.
