Ingredients:
Cubed steak
Flour
Salt
Pepper
Margarine

1 c. Long grain rice
2 c. water
1 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Put water and salt into a saucepan. Bring water to a boil, add rice, resume boiling, reduce heat to simmer and cover. The rice will cook for 20 minutes. In that time salt and pepper the cubed steak. Heat a skillet to medium heat. Coat the steaks on both sides with the flour. Add enough margarine to the skillet to fry the cubed steak in. As you fry the steaks some of the coating may stick to the pan, that's ok. When all steaks are finished frying transfer to serving dish and keep warm. In the frying skillet melt an additional Tbsp. of margarine and flour (1 Tbsp. per serving should be about right). Stir with a fork allowing the mixture to bubble and brown slightly. Add approx. 1 c. hot water slowly mixing until gravy thickens. Add salt and pepper to taste. Allow to simmer 2 minutes then transfer to serving bowl. Serve Cubed Steak with rice and gravy.
