1 c. Crisco shortening
1 lb. powdered (confectioner's) sugar sifted twice
1 scant ¼ c. milk
couple pinches of salt
few drops clear vanilla
few drops butter-rum
Directions:
Directions:
Put shortening, liquids & salt in small mixing bowl. Gradually add sifted sugar and mix at a low speed (considering your mixer's capabilities). Put in plastic container if refrigeration is necessary. Remove from refrigerator or freezer 5 to 6 hours before using.

If tinting keep in mind that the color darkens as it ages so keep it light.
