1 link each Italian sausage, medium and hot
2 lbs. lean ground chuck
1 medium onion, diced
1 - 12 oz. can stewed tomatoes
1 - 16 oz. can tomato sauce
1 clove minced garlic
2 bay leaves
¼ tsp. Italian seasoning
½ tsp. sugar
¼ tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Place Italian sausage links in a large cook pot, add ½ c. water, bring to a boil, cover, reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes. Remove sausage to flat dish to cool. Discard water. In same pan put the ground beef, garlic and onion. Saute until beef is brown and onion is opaque. Skim off most of fat. Add tomato sauce and stewed tomatoes, all dry ingredients and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer, covered 1 hour. Serve over spaghetti noodles or pasta shells.
